Which glasses are suitable for Frels?
You can use Frels for reading glasses, sunglasses or even for your blue light filter glasses.
While they effortlessly complement most temple tips, it's important to note that they may not be compatible with ultra-slim frames (less than 2.5 mm), bulky tips (over 8.0 mm), or heavy glasses.
For optimal support, ensure that the distance between your eyewear temple tips falls within 9 cm around your neck. This ensures a snug and secure attachment, providing you with peace of mind throughout your day.
How do I insert Frels® on my glasses?
To attach Frels®, you must insert the end of the temple tips into the insertion hole and press it slightly up and down by approx 5-6 mm (see attached photos). Sometimes moistening the Frels® makes insertion easier (Frels® are washable).
Frels® are flexible and can be expanded and adapt to the shape of most spectacle temple tips. Please note, however, as described in the e-shop, that they are not suitable for heavy spectacles, thick temples (over 8.0 mm) or very narrow frames (under 2.5 mm). For an optimal fit, please ensure that the distance between the ends of the glasses is no more than 9 cm.

What material are Frels® made of?
Frels® are made from medical grade biocompatible polymers. During the industrial design process, extensive research was conducted to define the material profile in terms of flexibility, heat resistance, oil resistance, grip and sensory properties, and safety. This was done to ensure that the Frels® do not compromise the use of the glasses and remain comfortable at all times, as well as ensuring safe contact with the skin.
Where are Frels® produced?
Frels® are manufactured in Glovelier in the Canton of Jura in the northwest of Switzerland, in a production site that meets the highest standards of eco-social sustainability. The product is packaged in a sheltered workshop and is Swiss Label certified.
Where did your Frels® idea come from?
Francesca, the Frel Solutions company’s founder, first came up with the Frels® idea when she started wearing reading glasses… they never were at hand every time she needed them. Inspired by the well-known saying “necessity is the mother of invention” she wanted to find a solution to the annoying problem of continually having to take them off and put them on again. With Frels® your glasses are always at hand!

We are lucky to be based in Ticino in the south and sunny part of Switzerland.
Are Frels® washable?
Yes, the product can be washed using a mild soap and lukewarm water.
